Maison Ròde is a small fashion house based on the artistic metamorphosis of materials considered “refuses”; since two years Maison Ròde gets the critics approval and has been awarded many times on the alternative fashion circle.
Every creation wants to give a surreal vision of life, of fashion, of art. Created by Barbara D’Altoè, Maison Ròde became a real firm one year ago, making every hand-made object its point of strength. The fashion house realizes bags, belts, other accessories and recently also clothing, always looking for a new life of everything considered useless.
Ròde clothing is the result of a fervent research, an unremitting imaginative and the need to combine style and beauty, that breaks and breaks in schemes; Ròde clothes are made of fine materials such as kadi, silk and wool in their variations, leather and eco-leather from recycled remnant of sofa factories, leftovers of tyres, inner tubes and rubber raised to the nobility of elements. Ecology, diversity and grit mark all the productions of the fashion house, that gives a new soul to discarded wheels.
The idea and the ideal hold a continuous dialog inside the Maison that Barbara opened to other artists, aiming to the creation of an avant-garde, carrying a basic message: the NATURE of the world and of the objects doesn’t have to be destroyed, instead they need to be protected and reinvented so they won’t die nor forgotten. And here it is a fashion that respects the environment, uses its resources tactfully and above all makes desirable the undesirable: the trash.
The Maison creates a reverse consumerism, making fun of it: the Maison induces the need to posses a by-product object, avoiding the abandon and the pollution. The favourite materials, in fact, are leftovers of tyres, inner tubes, rubber and fine materials, joining harmony and contrast, therefore beauty.
